BIOGRAPHY

After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the USDA Forest Service Forest Products Laboratory, David Harper joined the University of Tennessee faculty in 2004. His research centers on creating sustainable, high-value materials from renewable, plant-based sources.

 David’s group addresses applied and basic research to develop materials that tackle challenges in transportation, infrastructure, energy storage, CO₂ capture, and biomaterials.
